Why I won't go on MSC cruises even though I never sailed with them

I booked a Canada/New England cruise with MSC cruises Canada in Feb 2020 to sail in September 2020.  With Corona virus prevalent the cruise was cancelled by the cruise line.  They promised with no action on my part that they would give a full credit by December 31, 2021.  They also gave me a 25% additional credit if I booked another cruise before that date.  I tried to book in fall 2021 for an April 2022 cruise but was told I couldn't use the credit as it expired December 31, 2021.  So I didn't book and waited patiently for my credit in December.  On December 29th I received an email from MSC stating that they would extend the credit until June or I had to fill out a survey to get my money back (clearly they lied about no action).  I filled out the info same day advising my cc was still the same.  No credit was issued in January so I contacted them - they said they were beginning to process credits and call back in March if no credit was issued. Which I did and they said the processed it at the end of February.  Well over 2 years later I now have my money back with multiple actions required on my part and lots of misinformation from MSC.

All I can say is buyer beware.

Hope this helps
